Kathleen Herrera is bilingual and bicultural. She graduated from Pacific Union College in 1991 with her B.S.W. She went on to U.C. Berkeley and received her Master's in Social Work with a clinical emphasis.

Ms. Herrera completed her clinical training at Children's Hospital, Center for Child Protection—an outpatient counseling center for abused children and their families. She then treated adults, adolescents, and children at Kaiser Permanente, which included leading an eating disorder group.

Currently, Ms. Herrera is an assistant professor at Pacific Union College, teaching part time for the college's highly respected Behavioral Science Department. She is passionate about her clinical practice and considers it a privilege to provide supportive psychotherapy for those with emotional hardships who are seeking growth and healing.
